The Packaged Meats segment processes fresh meat into a diverse portfolio of products including bacon, sausage, hot dogs, deli meats, ham, and ready-to-eat prepared foods, marketed under prominent brands such as Smithfield, Eckrich, Nathan's Famous, Farmland, and Armour. The Fresh Pork segment converts live hogs into various primal and sub-primal cuts for retail, foodservice, and industrial customers, with significant export operations to markets including China, Mexico, Japan, and South Korea. The Hog Production segment raises hogs on company-owned and contract farms across the United States and Mexico, while also operating bioscience operations that manufacture heparin products for pharmaceutical applications.
